CRÈME BRULEE

1 | Heavy cream | 2 cups |
2 | Egg yolks | 5 nos |
3 | Sugar | 1\2 cup |
4 | Vanilla essence | 1\2tbs |
5 | Orange juice(optional) | 30ml |
6 | Sugar for caramelizing | 1\2 cup brown sugar |
Method:
1) Pre heat oven to 180°c.
2) Put cream in a bowl, mix egg yolks and sugar to dissolve sugar, add vanilla essence and orange juice to the cream.
3) Put this mixture in a ramekin.
4) Cook in oven in a Bain Marie for about 30-35 mins or till tops are set.
5) Refrigerate to chill, overnight.
6)Sprinkle brown sugar on top, either use a torch flame or put inside a salamander.
